What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a concanated word made up of the word “iPod” and “broadcasting”.
Podcasting is a movement that allows anyone with a voice and some technical knowledge to create a show that is broadcast over the internet. Podcasting is developing at such a rapid rate than even those that are not ofay with the technical side of things will also be able to podcast or vidcast (video show) as long as they have the equipment.

How is this all related to Ipods?
Apple just happens to have the biggest market share on MP3 players, and so people started to refer to iPods as the vehicle of choice to listen to podcasts from - sorta like the way people call tissue paper Kleenex. Basically, anything that will play an MP3 will play a podcast, even computer applications like iTunes.
How do I subscribe to I Heart NZ?
To make sure you never miss another episode of I Heart NZ, it is best to subscribe through iTunes. This means that whenever their is a new show, it will download automatically to your computer. In programs like iTunes, you can specifiy when you want the program to check for new shows and where to store the MP3 files once they are downloaded. iTunes is a free program and can be used to manage and play MP3 files on your Mac or PC Computer as well.
If you return to the home page you can just click on the iTunes graphic on the right hand side to get started.
If you are familiar with podcastching software like Odeo, ipodder or Yahoo! you can enter the “Feed� for I Heart NZ, which is pretty simple to remember http:///www.iheartnz.com/podcast/ or better yet return to the front page and click on the name of your podcatcher to start subscribing to I Heart NZ that way.
How can I support I Heart NZ?
We don’t ask that you support us, but if you feel you would like to give something back to Chris and Ghada, here are a few suggestions.
 1) Word of Mouth: If you have a blog and you like us, why not write abou the show and link back to us. If you have a podcast and you play promos, grab I Heart NZ promos from here. If you play one on your show, let us know a iheartnz at gmail dot com. We are also working on having some cute buttons for you to download and add to your website. Also you can vote for us at Podcast Alley. If anything, this just helps to increase our visibility.
 2) Monetary Donation: We have a PayPal donation link on the front page that you can click on and make any type of monetary donation. What will we do with tht money? Hosting the storage space for the MP3 files that make up the show as well as the bandwidth generated each time the show is downloaded takes a bit of dosh. Basically the money will go to making sure the show has robust hosting and you will never have to go without the ramblings of Chris and Ghada!
3) Artistic Donations: Would you like to create album art for the I Heart NZ show, we would gladly put in on the show and mention you for your lovely and gracious donation. If you are artistically inclined but not sure what to draw, drop us an email we can suggest what we’d like to see.
Are you musically inclined? Instrumental music could always be used on the show.
